The Japan Consumer Channel Account Manager will be responsible for managing retailer-specific accounts, collaborating with sales counterparts on forecasting and optimization. This role involves building relationships with category buyers at Tier 1 Japanese Retailers, overseeing sell-through activities, and developing marketing campaigns to drive sales of compute products. The channel manager will focus on promoting Snapdragon compute products, expanding the product assortment, and accelerating sales velocity with channel partners. This includes strategic account planning, executing sales campaigns, tracking channel investments, and exceeding sales quotas.
Must have:
  • 5+ years in consumer electronics channel sales
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Good to have:
  • 7+ years in Consumer Compute technology channel sales
  • Direct background with Tier 1 Japanese Retailers
  • Existing relationships with channel leadership
  • Working knowledge of the Consumer Compute technology ecosystem
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

General Summary:

Job Summary: The Japan Consumer Channel Account Manager will be responsible for driving retailer specific account management, partnering with sales counterpart on sell-in forecasting, and sell-through optimization. The account manager will focus on building channel relationships inclusive with category buyers at Tier 1 Japanese Retailers. The selected candidate will manage sell-through activities with Tier 1 Japanese Retailers while working cross-functionally within Qualcomm to build coordinated marketing campaigns that drive sales of compute products. The channel manager will focus on driving Snapdragon compute products into the channel and developing winning strategies to expand assortment and accelerate sales velocity with our channel partners.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Execution of our account channel management and go-to-market planning for Tier 1 Japanese Retailers consumer compute business.
  • End-to-end strategic account management at Tier 1 Japanese Retailers driving optimal assortment.
  • Executing sales campaigns with channel partners that drive significant market share gains in the market.
  • Tracking the productivity and ROI of channel investments.
  • Exceeding channel quota for sales and impact.
  • Partnering cross-functionally with channel marketing and field sales programming.
  • Partnering with regional OEM teams to drive and launch products in the channel.
  • Developing and delivering on strategic account plans, timelines, and implementing programming.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years in consumer electronic technology channel sales (e.g., sales to retail or e-tail), channel marketing, or management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 7+ years in Consumer Compute technology channel sales, channel marketing, or management. Direct background with Tier 1 Japanese Retailers (Yamada, Yodobashi, Bic Camera)
  • Significant channel sales experience and a proven track record of working with channel partners to grow their sales in new business segments.
  • Existing relationships with channel leadership and retail account owners at Tier 1 Japanese Retailers (Yamada, Yodobashi, Bic Camera)
  • Working knowledge of the Consumer Compute technology ecosystem and partners.
  • Ability to successfully navigate inherent challenges/obstacles of new product adoption and demonstrated experience in selling new or nascent technology/devices through channel partners.
  • Ability to communicate, educate, and evangelize both internally & externally.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Creative problem-solving with strong analytical skills.
