Job Description

As the Sales Manager, you'll oversee both internal hybrid Pharmacy/Dental sales reps and an external sales team. Your mission is to strengthen our market presence, gain market share, and ensure our core brands are visible and have a fair share of shelf space. You'll build a high-performing team, maximize promotional activities, and adapt to market insights to keep Haleon relevant and leading. This position is based in Copenhagen. Key responsibilities include sales cycle planning and tracking, responsible for best-in-class execution and detailing, monitoring of market dynamics, collaboration with the Commercial Excellence team, define and implement annual sales incentive scheme, drive strong collaboration with Brand Management, KAMs and Customer Marketing, implement merchandising concepts, prepare and share regular reports on sales performance and execution, and ensure compliance to regulatory guidelines and Danish law. The role also involves field coaching, leading sales meetings, and evolving the go-to-market model.
Must have:
  • Proven experience in sales or key account management.
  • Demonstrated commercial and growth mindset.
  • Strong numerical skills and proactive in engaging customers.
  • Excellent at building and managing networks.
  • Fluent in both Danish and English.
Good to have:
  • University Degree in Economics, Marketing or Business Management.
  • Experience leading a Sales Force or team.
  • Commercial experience within the pharmacy industry.

About the role 

As the Sales Manager, you'll oversee both our internal hybrid Pharmacy/Dental sales reps and an external sales team. Your mission is to strengthen our market presence, gain market share, and ensure our core brands are visible and have a fair share of shelf space. 

You'll build a high-performing team, maximize promotional activities, and adapt to market insights to keep Haleon relevant and leading. This is a unique opportunity to join our Danish leadership team, where you'll play a crucial role in integrating insights into our processes while working closely with the KAM and Customer Marketing team. Reporting directly to the Country Manager Denmark, this position is based in Copenhagen. 

Key responsibilities 

 

Execution of field strategy 

  • Sales cycle planning and tracking in line with Haleon growth priorities across sales channels. 

  • Responsible for best-in-class execution and detailing.  

  • Monitoring of market dynamics and continuously adapting ways of working to respond to the changing environment.  

  • Close collaboration with the Commercial Excellence team to secure optimized visiting plan and reporting. 

  • Define and implement annual sales incentive scheme. 

  • Drive strong collaboration with Brand Management, KAMs and Customer Marketing to secure optimized campaign plan and material. 

  • Drive implementation of merchandising concepts (shelf systems, shelf signage etc) in collaboration with Category Management.    

  • Prepare and share regular reports on sales performance and execution. 

  • Ensure compliance to regulatory guidelines and Danish law.  

 

Building and developing a high-performance team - creating people culture 

  • Field coaching of both sales forces, through regular co-drives, joining virtual detailing/webinars and fairs. 

  • Own the capability agenda when it comes to scientific education, category / brand training, system knowledge.  

  • Prepare and lead sales meetings. 

  • Hero engagement, passion, desire and commitment to represent Haleon in the field and to deliver excellence. 

 

Developing a future growth agenda  

  • Evolve go to market model including optimization of targeting and segmentation and digital ways of working. 

  • Take learnings from recommendation tracking and translate these into tangible actions.  

  • Contribute to future innovation planning while considering feedback from experts. 

Qualifications and skills 

Essential 

  • Proven experience in sales or key account management. 

  • Demonstrated commercial and growth mindset. 

  • Strong numerical skills and proactive in finding new ways to engage and grow with customers. 

  • Business-minded, fully leveraging insights from consumption and sales data. 

  • Excellent at building and managing networks and relationships, and great at influencing others. 

  • Ability to execute compelling storytelling. 

  • Fluent in both Danish and English. 

 

Preferred 

  • University Degree (Bachelor or Master) in Economics, Marketing or Business Management. 

  • Experience leading a Sales Force or leading a team.  

  • Commercial experience within the pharmacy industry preferred.
