As a Sales Representative on the Commerce Sales Team, you will proactively reach out to potential and existing GoDaddy customers via outbound calls. Your role involves educating and consulting with customers on GoDaddy's services, including Payments, Social, SEO, and Website Design, to guide them towards the best solutions. You will focus on identifying customer needs and providing solutions by matching GoDaddy products with their commerce goals. This role also involves understanding and overcoming objections, meeting sales metrics, and serving as a trusted advisor throughout the sales cycle. You will be responsible for building long term customer relationships.
Must have:
  • Experience at a Payments company or owning/operating a small business.
  • 3+ years of outbound sales experience with a proven record.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to meet sales quotas and provide a great customer experience.
  • Self-driven attitude and motivation to drive revenue growth.
  • Hunter personality with a drive to reach decision makers.
  • Experience using a CRM or customer management software.
  • Great interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Stable internet connectivity to support voice calls.

Location:

At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time; others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.

This position may be a hybrid or fully remote position, as decided by your manager. If designated as hybrid, you’ll divide your time between working remotely from your home and an office location, so you should live within commuting distance. If designated as remote, you’ll be working remotely from your home and may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team

While our Center of Excellence is located in Arizona, this position is open to other additional states (remotely).This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, California, Colorado, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, North Dakota, Oregon, Seattle, WA or the Virgin Islands.

Compensation:

As with many sales roles, our compensation combines both an hourly rate of $17, as well as a generous bonus. The great news is that in 2024, the Guides who met the minimum expectations of the position were at $87,000 annually.

This role may require working holidays, evenings, and weekends. 

Join our team

Your role on the Commerce Sales Team is to proactively reach out to prospective and current GoDaddy customers via outbound calls who are currently processing a high volume of payments through another provider. As a commerce sales specialist, you will educate and consult with them on the many services now offered by GoDaddy, including but not limited to Payments, Social, SEO, and Website Design. You will focus on guiding merchants to the best fit for their business along with identifying best practices.

What you'll get to do… 

  • Contacting prospective small business customers and existing GoDaddy customers via phone (Outbound Sales calls) and via email to uncover new opportunities.
  • Consult with customers about their business needs by matching GoDaddy products and/or solutions to their commerce goals, while identifying existing pain points to determine how GoDaddy’s platform could address those needs.
  • Understanding and overcoming small business objections through effective communication of GoDaddy’s offerings.
  • Build trust, interact, and communicate effectively with various levels of the organization, while meeting high call quality and production standards as pre-determined by leadership.
  • Meet sales metrics that could include but are not limited to outbound dials, gross payment volume, and Net Promoter Score.
  • Demonstrate ownership for issues pertaining to customer service questions, including by researching and providing solutions for issues of moderate complexity.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and consultant to all customer throughout the entire sales cycle while maintaining accurate and updated records for all activities in the system.

Your experience should include…

  • Experience working at a Payments company or owning and/or operating a small and/or midsize business (SMB)/ extensive knowledge of internet technology.
  • 3+ years’ Outbound/Inbound sales call campaign experience with a proven record of understanding customer needs in a commission, bonus, and/or metrics-driven environment
  • A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to meet sales quotas while providing a great customer experience throughout entire sales cycle.
  • A self-driven and dedicated attitude, disciplined work ethic and motivation to drive revenue growth, while creating long term customer relationships.  
  • Dynamic hunter personality with a drive to reach decision makers is essential
  • Experience using a CRM or other customer management software.
  • Great interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive, multi-task, and prioritize in a high-volume, dynamic environment with ability to promote and build extraordinary customer rapport.
  • Ability to connect directly to the modem via Ethernet, and stable internet connectivity and speeds sufficient to support voice calls.  Guides who do not have stable connectivity and/or sufficient internet speeds may be required to upgrade their service at their own expense, in compliance with applicable law.
