Saviynt is seeking a Senior Manager, Software Engineering to join Saviynt Labs. This role involves defining architectural principles, frameworks, and standards for Saviynt Labs, contributing to the architecture strategy, and managing alignment with the product roadmap. The ideal candidate will combine a broad understanding of current technologies with deep, architect-level expertise in core areas like database design, software architecture, cloud architecture, and infrastructure architecture. Responsibilities include providing input on technology selection, guiding application design decisions, driving technical decisions to support performance, security, scalability, and maintainability, facilitating technical design conversations, and reviewing/creating design specifications. Hands-on development and leading other developers in adopting new architectures or technologies may also be required. The company emphasizes engineering excellence and attracts top talent, building SaaS software on leading-edge technologies across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
Must have:
- 10+ years of Software Architect experience
- Overall 18+ years of software development experience
- Specialist in Java, Grails, GSP, ReactJS, and Spring
- Strong knowledge of architectural styles and design patterns
- Experience re-architecting legacy Grails code
- Hands-on knowledge of AWS & Azure deployment patterns
- Thorough knowledge of cloud components (AWS RDS, Elastic Search, RabbitMQ/ActiveMQ, Kafka, Kubernetes, Spring cloud)
- Thorough knowledge of security principles and patterns
- Expert understanding of Saviynt or similar IGA platforms
- Ability to balance long-term and short-term implications of decisions

What You Will Be Doing
- Help define architectural principles, frameworks, and standards for Saviynt Labs
- Contribute to the architecture strategy and manage the alignment to the product roadmap
- Combine a broad understanding of current technologies with deep, architect-level expertise in core areas such as database design, software architecture, cloud architecture and infrastructure architecture
- Provide input on technology selection and help drive best practices
- Guide early-phase application design decisions through strong communication skills and deep technical expertise
- Drive technical decisions to support critical success factors like performance, security, scalability, and maintainability; and identify opportunities for improvement in those same areas in existing systems
- Facilitate and drive technical design conversations as part of the backlog grooming process across development teams
- Review and create a system, software, and technical design specifications that fulfill product requirements
- Provide hands-on development where appropriate to help deliver architecture that supports product delivery, and train and lead other developers in how to leverage new architectures or technologies
What You Bring
- Minimum of 10+ years of Software Architect experience with customer-facing, large-scale, web-based, or SaaS applications
- Overall 18+ years of software development experience
- Specialist level, hands-on, Java,Grails, GSP,reactJS and Spring tech stack
- Strong knowledge of architectural styles and design patterns,involved in re-architecting legacy grails code base focussed to improve quality,scalability and modularity
- Hands-on knowledge of deployment patterns for cloud deployments - AWS & Azure
- Thorough knowledge of key cloud platform components such as AWS RDS, Elastic Search, RabbitMQ/ActiveMQ, Kafka, Kubernetes, and Spring cloud framework
- Thorough knowledge of security principles and patterns of Authentication and Authorization, single sign-on, and federation
- Expert level understanding of Saviynt or similar IGA platforms
- Ability to balance the long-term (“big picture”) and short-term implications of individual decisions
If required for this role, you will:
- Complete security & privacy literacy and awareness training during onboarding and annually thereafter
- Review (initially and annually thereafter), understand, and adhere to Information Security/Privacy Policies and Procedures such as (but not limited to):
> Data Classification, Retention & Handling Policy
> Incident Response Policy/Procedures
> Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Policy/Procedures
> Mobile Device Policy
> Account Management Policy
> Access Control Policy
> Personnel Security Policy
> Privacy Policy
