We are seeking a talented Account Manager/Senior Account Manager to join our team, focusing on fast-paced, creatively ambitious social-first projects. The ideal candidate is highly organised, solutions-focused, and passionate about impactful work. This role requires strong project management, excellent communication, and a proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative approach. You will lead and take ownership of tasks, working closely with Client Service, Strategy, Editorial, Creative, and Production teams to shape social media's role in advertising and deliver 'Ideas Worth Talking About'.
Must have:
  • Project and resource management
  • Strong project management skills including timings, WIPs, agendas
  • Experience in managing budgets including estimating, forecasting, billing
  • Ability to make accurate resourcing requests based on project scope
  • Clear and efficient communication with clients and internal colleagues
  • Ability to pivot and move forward in the face of changing priorities
  • Building trust with key client contacts
  • Collaboration with peers and client team
  • Positive contribution to agency and team culture
  • Open and honest communication and acting with integrity
  • Translating client tasks into clear and concise briefs
  • Active contribution to the creative process and building on ideas
  • Articulating a point of view on social and finding solutions
  • Providing clear, concise feedback and debriefs
  • Developing concise, insightful and learning-oriented reports
  • Identifying, recruiting, negotiating, briefing and overseeing influencers
  • Managing individual influencers for quality control and optimal outputs
  • 3-4 years of experience working in a social media agency
  • Solutions-oriented approach
  • Ability to apply fluidity and structure to the role
  • Enabling and setting the team up to succeed
  • Passion for social-first content and staying abreast of trends
  • Previous experience with influencer marketing
  • Currently based in Sydney
Good to have:
  • Creator marketing experience

We’re looking for a talented Account Manager/ Senior Account Manager to join our team. This role offers the chance to work on fast-paced, creatively ambitious projects, and calls for someone who’s highly organised, solutions-focused, and passionate about delivering social-first work that makes an impact.

Ideally, you’ll have influencer and creator marketing experience, but we’re also open to candidates with strong project management skills, excellent communication, and a rock-solid work ethic. You’ll be jumping into a fast-paced, creatively ambitious environment, so being proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative is a must.

We need a highly motivated self-starter who can lead, but can also throw themselves into any project and do what needs to get done. The role requires an ownership mindset and a strong sense of responsibility across any task small or large.

At We Are Social we truly believe we create Ideas Worth Talking About (IDWTA); this role is central in making sure we deliver to that by ensuring that they set the team up for success. This is not done alone. This role will work alongside a talented and high performance Client Service team, along with Strategy, Editorial, Creative and Production. Together we truly shape the role social media plays in advertising with clients.

  • Actively contributes to the creative process and builds on ideas, and is an evangelist about delivering ideas worth talking about
  • Articulates a point of view on all things social, and finds solutions by collaborating with Strategy, Editorial, Creative and Production teams
  • Provides clear, concise feedback and debriefs to keep teams on track
  • Reporting
  • Develop concise, insightful and learning-oriented reports that inform future actions
  • Influencer Management
  • Identify, recruit, negotiate, brief and oversee influencers across multiple projects
  • Manage individual influencers according to their briefs, ensuring quality control, adequate review processes and optimal outputs

Your skills and experience

  • You have 3-4 years of experience working in a social media agency
  • You are solutions-oriented and can apply fluidity and structure to your role
  • You enable and set the team up to succeed
  • You have a passion for social-first content, and stay abreast of trends and key activity in the social media landscape
  • You have previous experience with influencer marketing and how brands should leverage them across all stages of the funnel
  • You are currently based in Sydney
