Job Description

As Head of Sales Development at Insider, you'll lead and mentor a high-performing sales team in a fast-paced, hyper-growth environment. Responsibilities include developing and implementing sales strategies, coaching the team to exceed targets, providing market feedback, and effectively communicating the value proposition to clients. You'll manage the sales pipeline, forecast revenue, and collaborate with other teams (Sales Enablement, Revenue Operations, etc.). The ideal candidate has 7+ years of quota-carrying SaaS sales experience, including 3+ years of team management, and a strong understanding of MarTech. You will be responsible for driving sales growth and contributing to the continued success of Insider's impressive client portfolio.

What you will do

This is a leadership role for sales professionals who are experienced in SaaS and passionate about working in a hyper-growth MarTech scale-up.

We have a world-class sales organization with a strong pipeline bombarded with inbound marketing leads and SDR lead generation. In this role, you will;

    • Train, coach, and lead a sales team to crush the numbers and foster a performance-driven culture
    • Develop and implement new sales initiatives, strategies, and programs to identify, approach, and close key clients
    • Provide feedback to the team on market trends, unmet needs, and opportunities to deliver greater value to customers by extending company offerings
    • Identify emerging opportunities and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and the state of competition
    • Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations
    • Continuously nurture current and prospective clients with helpful industry knowledge & exciting news that will help them and us to succeed together
    • Effectively manage the country’s pipeline to forecast & realize revenue to meet targets for presentation & accountability to management
    • Get support from other teams such as Sales Enablement, Revenue Operations, Sales Engineering, Marketing etc.

What you need;

    • At least 7 years of  quota-carrying sales experience, ideally in SaaS, MarTech
    • At least 3 years of sales team management experience.
    • Knowledge of market research, sales, and negotiating principles
    • Communication skills and collaborative mindset to build strong relationships with customers, especially at the executive level
    • Superior project and time management skills. And a keen eye for detail!
    • Our technical knowledge goes well beyond that of any other salesperson. You need to be a savvy tech bug, always searching for solutions and ideas.
    • Passion for testing, measuring, and improving outreach and following up the effectiveness
    • Ability and flexibility to work in a fast-paced startup environment 
    • A university degree in Business, Marketing, or related fields
