Job Description
Wind River is seeking a Member of Technical Staff specializing in Certification to join their Operating System team. The role involves working on mission-critical, robust, and deterministic Real-Time Operating Systems for aerospace and automotive industries. Responsibilities include developing high-quality design and code, creating documentation for DO-178 certification evidence, reviewing artifacts for conformity to certification standards, investigating and resolving issues, and participating in Agile development processes. The candidate will work within the "Helix Virtualization Platform" development team.
Must have:
- Develop and deliver high quality design and code.
- Develop and deliver high quality documentation for certification evidence.
- Review DO-178 artifacts and provide guidance.
- Investigate and resolve product issues.
- Participate in Agile development.
- BSc/MSc degree in relevant technical field.
- Strong analytical skills in C programming.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent programming skills using Python and Linux shell scripts.
- Strong analytical and debugging skills.
- Exceptional team player.
- Self-managed, fast learner.
Good to have:
- Experience with RTOS software development.
- Familiarity with iterative and agile/scrum processes.
- Certification experience.
- ARM/Intel/RISC-V SoC experience.
- Experience with Virtualization.

Within the Wind River Operating System team, we work on projects that deliver mission critical, robust, and deterministic Real Time Operation Systems suitable for a wide variety of mission critical applications including the aerospace and automotive industry. We are looking for experienced and high-performing individuals that can learn and contribute to these technologies.
Who You Will Work With:
The successful candidate will join a highly skilled "Helix Virtualization Platform" development team delivering mission critical Real-Time Operating System for avionics and automotive applications.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver high quality design and code.
- Develop and deliver high quality documentation used for DO-178 certification evidence.
- Ability to review DO-178 artifacts and provide guidance to conform to Certification standards
- Investigate and resolve issues reported during product verification and customer integration.
- Participate in all aspects of the software development process using Agile development.
Qualifications/Skills:
- BSc / MSc degree (Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical degree).
- 5-7 years of relevant technical experience in software development.
- Strong analytical skills in the C programming language.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent programming skills using Python and Linux shells scripts.
- Strong analytical and debugging skills.
- Experience with RTOS software development a plus.
- Exceptional team player who works well in collaborative environments.
- Self-managed, fast learner with the desire and ability to master new technologies.
- Familiarity with iterative and agile/scrum software development processes.
- Certification experience is a plus.
- ARM/Intel/RISC-V SoC Experience is a plus.
- Experience with Virtualization is advantageous.
