Job Description

As a Tech Artist 2, you will collaborate with artists, designers, and engineers to support visual content integration, improve workflows, and troubleshoot technical challenges in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams on art and tech tasks, developing and maintaining tools and scripts in Unreal Engine 5, ensuring visual quality across devices, troubleshooting asset and performance issues, and documenting status. This role requires balancing creative and technical needs.
Must have:
  • Proficiency with Unreal Engine 5 and mobile/AR development.
  • Working knowledge of shader creation, rigging, and Blueprints.
  • Understanding of 3D asset pipelines and performance constraints.
  • Basic scripting ability (Blueprint, Python, or similar).
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Job Details

As a Tech Artist 2, you’ll work closely with artists, designers, and engineers to execute on project goals by supporting visual content integration, improving workflows, and troubleshooting technical challenges. You are detail-oriented, collaborative, and adept at balancing creative and technical needs in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support and execute daily art and tech tasks.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining tools and scripts to streamline asset creation and implementation in Unreal Engine 5.
  • Ensure consistent visual quality across devices by adapting content for mobile and AR platforms.
  • Troubleshoot asset and performance issues and work with senior staff to implement solutions.
  • Follow best practices for content optimization and contribute to improving visual fidelity and performance.
  • Maintain clear documentation and report status regularly to leads and production.


Required Qualifications
  • Proficiency with Unreal Engine 5 and experience with mobile or AR development workflows.
  • Working knowledge of shader creation, rigging, and Blueprints.
  • Strong understanding of 3D asset pipelines and performance constraints on mobile/AR devices.
  • Basic scripting ability (Blueprint, Python, or similar) for tools or automation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills; able to take direction and work independently within a larger structure.


$60,000 - $120,000 a year
Salaries offered are based on candidate experience, internal equity, and the level at which they are hired.
