Must have:
  • CPA designation required
  • 5-10 years of indirect tax experience

WHAT'S THE JOB?

We're on the hunt for an experienced and dynamic Manager, Sales & Use Tax in Ohio to join our team and lead our indirect tax compliance and strategy efforts. Are you ready to dive in and make a difference?

As the Manager, Sales & Use Tax, you will oversee all aspects of sales and use tax compliance for Dexterra Group and its subsidiaries. This includes ensuring accurate filings, timely payments, and full adherence to tax laws and regulations. You’ll lead a team of tax professionals, manage audits, and provide strategic tax planning and advisory services across the organization.

  • Oversee timely and accurate filing of sales and use tax returns across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize liabilities while ensuring compliance.
  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of tax professionals.
  • Monitor and analyze changes in tax laws and assess their impact on the business.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external advisors to provide expert tax guidance.
  • Manage sales tax audits and resolve inquiries from tax authorities.
  • Identify opportunities for tax recovery and process improvements.
  • Drive automation and efficiency in tax processes.

Qualifications

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • CPA designation (required).
  • 5-10 years of experience in indirect tax, with a strong focus on U.S. Federal and State sales tax.
  • Proven leadership and team management experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience with NetSuite ERP (system implementation is a strong asset).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Ability to explain complex tax issues clearly to various stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
