The (Senior) Portfolio Strategy Manager DACH will be responsible for managing and optimizing the product portfolio for the DACH region, aligning it with global strategies while meeting local market needs. This includes conducting market analysis to identify trends and customer needs, optimizing the portfolio for growth and profitability, and acting as a liaison with global teams. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams (marketing, sales, finance) in the DACH region to ensure alignment with strategic objectives. Responsibilities involve developing and implementing portfolio strategy, conducting market analysis and competitor monitoring, portfolio optimization, liaising with global teams, and collaborating closely with DACH teams.

We are looking for a (Senior) Manager Portfolio Strategy (all genders), who will be responsible for managing and optimising the product portfolio for the DACH region, ensuring alignment with global strategies while addressing local market needs. You will lead market analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor movements, providing insights that drive portfolio growth and profitability. In this role, you will serve as liaison with global teams, ensuring smooth communication. You will also collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in the DACH region, such as marketing, sales, and finance, to ensure that the portfolio meets strategic business objectives and supports regional goals.
Your tasks and responsibilities will include:
  • Development and Implementation of Portfolio Strategy: You are responsible for aligning the local product portfolio for the DACH region with global corporate strategies and goals, considering local market trends and customer needs.
  • Market Analysis and Competitor Monitoring: You analyse market trends, customer preferences, and competitor data to generate insights that drive the continuous development of the existing and future portfolio.
  • Portfolio Optimization: You identify growth opportunities within the existing portfolio and implement initiatives to improve performance and profitability
  • Liaison with Global Teams: You act as a liaison to central product, content, and licensing teams, ensuring that global requirements are effectively adapted to the local market.
  • Close Collaboration with DACH Teams: You work cross-functionally with the marketing, sales, and finance teams in the DACH region to support Go-To-Market and to ensure that the portfolio aligns with strategic objectives.
What we are looking for:
  • Degree in business administration, marketing, product management, or a related field
  • Passion for developing portfolio strategies in the consumer goods or entertainment industry, with 5+ years of experience in a comparable role
  • Demonstrated expertise in strategic thinking, with strong analytical skills to interpret complex market and business data and translate them into actionable strategic recommendations
  • Proven project management skills, successfully leading and executing cross-functional projects in dynamic environments
  • Experience in using common planogram tools 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, effectively partnering with diverse stakeholders and fostering teamwork
  • Fluent in both German and English, with strong verbal and written skills
