Job Description

As an Event Operations Executive, you will lead the development and delivery of in-event content, ensuring alignment with QS’s strategic initiatives. You will also take an innovative approach to candidate experience, suggest new event formats, review candidate feedback, and coordinate event content operations. Furthermore, you'll be responsible for creating effective content, maximizing integration with online student support resources, and ensuring the efficient management of speakers. You will also deliver successful on-site events and contribute to innovation and improvement of QS event offerings. Finally, you will execute additional duties to enhance operational efficiency.

Role: Event Operations Executive (Candidate Experience)

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Job type: Full time, permanent – hybrid


This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing flexibility between working from home and our office. 

Typically, employees are expected to work 2 days in the office per week.

As an Event Operations Executive, this is what you’ll be doing:


QS Student Recruitment events attract over 150000 registrations a year over 250 events.


As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an Event Operations Executive (Candidate Experience) to help ensure our events consistently meet the evolving and diverse needs of globally mobile candidates.


Role responsibilities


  • Lead the development and delivery of in-event content, ensuring that all materials align with QS’s strategic initiatives and values, providing a best-in-class experience for candidates and clients.
  • Take an innovative approach to candidate experience, collaborating with marketing to decide on themes that resonate with the target audience
  • Suggest new event formats, ensuring they meet the diverse needs of clients and candidates while maintaining high standards.
  • Review candidate event feedback and make suggestions for improvements
  • Coordinate event content operations, including assisting with creation, maintenance, and process adherence, while liaising with internal QS systems and teams.
  • Create effective content which resonates with attendees and helps to attract high quality, engaged candidates
  • Maximise the integration with other online student support resources helping to lock candidates in to the full student lifecycle designed to manage them to enrolment
  • Ensure the efficient and professional management of speakers, workshop providers, and panellists, enhancing the quality of event delivery.
  • Deliver successful events on-site, ensuring seamless execution and high participant satisfaction.
  • Participate and embody a “test and learn” culture, contributing ideas for innovation and continual improvement of QS event offerings.
  • Execute additional duties as necessary to enhance the operational efficiency and success of QS Student Recruitment Events.
  • Any other duties that fall within the scope and purpose of the role.

Key skills and experience


Essential

  • Evidence of providing an outstanding service to key stakeholders 
  • Process oriented and an ability to work within systems 
  • Managing complex logistics and operations for at scale events/activities 
  • Understanding of feedback, how to interpret and act on it and attention to detail 
  • Well presented, exceptional written and verbal communication skills 
  • Exceptional organisational and planning skills with the ability to work across multiple events concurrently 
  • Experience of delivering events across multiple different timezones, countries and cultures 
  • Fluent in English
  • Ability and willingness to travel internationally and away from the KL office for a minimum of two weeks at a time. 


Desirable

  • Experience of creating inspirational and motivational content
