Job Description

The Sales Operations Associate at Patreon plays a vital role in supporting creator-facing and go-to-market teams. Key responsibilities include Salesforce system administration (managing data, processes, and data quality), building and delivering reports, ensuring smooth daily operations within sales and creator management systems, and supporting program development and execution. The role involves data management, tool optimization (workflows, validation rules, automations), and collaboration with creator management teams to translate business needs into data-driven insights. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for sales tool troubleshooting and technical support for creator-facing teams, aiming to contribute to ambitious growth goals. This contract position offers a hybrid work model (in-office 2 days/week) in New York or San Francisco, or remote work.

Job Details

Patreon is a media and community platform where creators give their biggest fans access to exclusive work and experiences. Over 300k creators are cultivating fandoms and building their businesses each month. Creators can offer free memberships to fans looking to explore more of their work, paid memberships to give access to exclusive media and community, or sell directly to fans with Shops.

Ultimately our goal is simple: fund the creative class. And we're leaders in that space, with:

  • 8B+ earned since Patreon's inception

  • 30M free new memberships in the first year of launching that option, and

  • 10M fans paying each month for exclusive access to creators' work and community.

We're continuing to invest heavily in building the best creator products with the best team in the creator economy and are looking for a Sales Operations Associate to support our mission

This role is based in New York, San Francisco, or Remote. New York & San Francisco applicants must be able to be in-office 2 days per week on a hybrid work model.

The Sales Operations Associate plays a critical role in supporting creator facing and go-to-market teams by acting as the Salesforce system administrator; managing Salesforce data, processes, improving data quality, building and delivering reports, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations within our sales and creator management systems.

This role will support multiple creator-facing teams and will play a key role in executing program operations in order to reach an ambitious growth goal in 2025.

About the Role

  • Salesforce analytics - Build and maintain reports and dashboards to provide day-to-day visibility into creator health and engagement, team performance, and pipeline.

  • Reporting support - Manage recurring reporting processes (weekly, monthly, quarterly) and respond to ad hoc data requests with a firm SLA.

  • Support program development - Provide execution support for existing and in development programs.

  • Data management - Own data hygiene processes, ensuring creator records, opportunities, and account data are accurate and up-to-date.

  • Tool optimization - Build and maintain workflows, validation rules, and process automations to streamline team operations. Support the implementation of any new Salesforce features or tools to enhance productivity.

  • Cross-team collaboration - Partner with Creator management teams to translate business and Salesforce needs into data-driven insights.

  • Team support - Act as the first point of contact for sales tool troubleshooting and technical support for the Creator facing teams.

About You

  • 3+ years of experience in sales/marketing operations roles and passion for CRM (Salesforce) development and optimization.

  • Data-tracking and reporting: Compiling lifecycle metrics and streamlining reporting.

  • Strong sense of empathy: Excellent written and verbal skills, effective at facilitating open and sometimes difficult community/customer conversations with a positive, solutions-oriented outlook.

  • Organized and detail-oriented: Able to sequence tasks and manage time effectively.

  • Superfan of creator and internet culture: Direct experience with creators or as a creator is a delightful nice-to-have
