The company is looking for a Senior General Accountant for the Accounting Operations and Reporting area within Global Business Services.
The GBS Accounting Operations and Reporting area focuses on the management and processing of financial, accounting, and reporting transactions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations. Its responsibilities include invoice and payment processing, accounts payable and receivable management, general and financial accounting, preparation of financial statements and reports, and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
About you:
Key position for the US management and executive team, responsible for the execution of key general accounting, fixed assets, revenue, and other functions that directly impact the presentation of the group's financial statements.
Your day-to-day:
- Responsible for performing monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting closing activities for the different P&L and balance sheet lines (financial statements) of the US market, ensuring compliance with established deadlines, information integrity, and accuracy of accounting records.
- Responsible for preparing and analyzing the different P&L and balance sheet lines of the US market through accounting reconciliations, financial integrations, and various executive reports, which are used by the US management and executive team for various purposes.
- Specialized US GAAP accounting support to comply with the guidelines and controls required in the US market, ensuring that accounting records and presented financial information comply with these standards.
- Responsible for compliance with internal controls (between accounting and supporting subsystems) to ensure that the P&L and balance sheet lines of the US market meet the required characteristics for financial statement presentation.
- Primary contact for managers, directors, vice presidents, and some stakeholders in the US market to resolve doubts, special requirements, information generation, and various reports on the figures shown in financial statements.
- Responsible for seeking automation and continuous improvement of the accounting and financial processes carried out by the team to comply with corporate guidelines, as well as strengthening the controls of the different financial processes performed by the team.
- Responsible for supporting and mentoring junior analysts in the area, providing guidance, training, and support in the various tasks performed by the team, fostering their professional development and ensuring the quality of their work.
- Responsible for following up on audit requirements from internal clients in the US to ensure timely delivery of information and successfully resolve processes.
- Responsible for performing different accounting processes required by the US market, using different systems for financial information generation, support for various accounting entries, reclassifications, adjustments, and executive reports.
- Responsible for preparing the flux report, detailing the explanation of variations for the executive team in the USA.
You should have:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Experience or proficiency in an ERP (Oracle / SAP).
- 5 years of experience in Revenue, General Accounting, Fixed Assets, and Audit / US. GAAP / Monthly Accounting Closures.
- Advanced English.
