As Enphase expands its energy management systems, they seek a Senior Product Manager to lead commercial storage solutions. This role involves bridging the gap between customers, sales teams, and development teams to design, launch, and enhance an energy management system for commercial and industrial applications. Responsibilities include customer advocacy, market research, product strategy, cross-functional leadership, and sales & partner enablement. This involves gathering customer feedback, analyzing market trends, defining product features, collaborating with global teams, and developing training materials. The candidate must be able to define and document product features and system requirements via comprehensive Market Requirements Documents (MRDs). The candidate is expected to analyze competitive products to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.

Must have:

Bachelor’s in electrical or related engineering discipline.
8-10 years of experience in product management or related field.
Experience in battery storage product development.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to collaborate with global teams.

Good to have:

Advanced degree (Master’s in engineering or MBA).
Prior experience with commercial battery storage systems.
Proven track record of managing complex projects.

About the role

As Enphase expands its energy management systems beyond residential solar and storage, we seek an experienced Senior Product Manager to lead our commercial storage solutions. In this role, you will bridge the gap between customers, sales teams, and our global development teams, driving the design, launch, and continuous enhancement of a comprehensive energy management system tailored for commercial and industrial applications.

What will you do

Customer Advocacy & Market Insight
- Serve as the primary customer advocate by gathering feedback and translating needs into actionable product features.
- Meet with installers, commercial building owners, and end users to document requirements and identify pain points.
- Perform comprehensive market research using industry reports and other data sources to understand market sizes, trends, and emerging opportunities.

Product Strategy & Development
- Define and document product features and system requirements via comprehensive Market Requirements Documents (MRDs).
- Analyze competitive products to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
- Evaluate local, national, and international codes and regulations to ensure compliance and optimal performance.

Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate closely with onshore and offshore development teams in the USA, India, and New Zealand to communicate specifications and prioritize activities.
- Lead cross-functional teams in new product introductions and beta program initiatives, ensuring agile, market-responsive development.

Sales & Partner Enablement
- Develop product-related content and training materials to support sales and account management teams.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with key partners, including distribution networks and installers.

Who you are and what you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Electronics, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of professional experience in product management, software development, systems engineering, or related field.
- Demonstrated experience in battery storage product development; experience with commercial or industrial battery storage is preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with proven leadership in cross-functional team settings.
- Ability and willingness to collaborate with global (onshore and offshore) teams.

Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree (Master’s in engineering or MBA) from a reputed institution.
- Prior experience with commercial battery storage systems.
- Proven track record of managing complex projects and driving agile product development initiatives.

The base salary range for this position for Bay Area candidates is $160,000 to $226,000.
The base salary range for this position for Texas candidates is $130,000 to $183,000.

This salary range may be modified in the future. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, education or training, work location, and market conditions. This position is also eligible for bonuses, equity, and benefits.
