Job Description

As an Account Executive at KMGH in Denver, you will drive growth for local businesses by developing and selling innovative multi-platform advertising solutions. This role involves connecting clients with their customers through compelling campaigns utilizing broadcast television, OTT video, search strategies, social media, digital display, and email targeting. You will be responsible for the full sales cycle, including prospecting, needs analysis, solution development, presentation, and closing sales. Additionally, you will manage client relationships, provide exceptional customer service, and leverage CRM systems to monitor performance and achieve key indicators, ensuring measurable results and account growth.
Must have:
  • Sell advertising solutions to local and regional businesses and advertising agencies.
  • Apply the Scripps Sales Process (SSP) to analyze customer needs and develop customized advertising solutions.
  • Independently prospect, secure appointments, perform needs analysis, develop solutions, present and close sales.
  • Use ratings data, qualitative information and market trends to negotiate program ratings and advertising rates.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor with clients, provide best-in-class customer service, and grow accounts.
  • Effectively manage your sales funnel using CRM systems, monitoring and achieving key performance indicators.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.

  • BS/BA in related discipline or equivalent years of experience
  • Generally 2+ years of proven sales success
  • Experience in strategic account management
  • Experience in broadcast ratings and digital execution
  • Valid Driver's License, good driving record, and ability to provide proof of insurance

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Sell advertising solutions to local and regional businesses and advertising agencies
  • Apply the Scripps Sales Process (SSP) to analyze customer needs and develop customized advertising solutions that provide return on investment
  • Facilitate customers' ability to take advantage of the full array of digital marketing options available
  • Independently prospect, secure appointments, perform needs analysis, develop solutions, present and close sales
  • Use ratings data, qualitative information and market trends to negotiate program ratings and advertising rates
  • Serve as a trusted advisor with clients, provide best-in-class customer service, and grow accounts
  • Perform client services including media avail negotiations, presentation preparation and execution
  • Effectively manage your sales funnel using CRM systems, monitoring and achieving key performance indicators
  • Contribute to creative campaign development through client communication and needs analysis
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, which may include entertaining prospective and existing clients

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • BS/BA in related discipline preferred or equivalent years of experience
  • Generally 2+ years of proven sales success preferred
  • Experience in strategic account management, broadcast ratings and digital execution preferred
  • Driving required. Valid Driver's License, good driving record, and ability to provide proof of insurance with the company required insurance limits

COMPENSATION RANGE:

Annual Salary: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00

Pursuant to state and local salary transparency laws, the salary range posted is specific to candidates who will perform this work in Colorado.
