Haleon is seeking an Employee Relations Manager to foster a positive workplace by addressing employee concerns, managing conflict resolution, and ensuring compliance with company policies and labor laws. This strategic role involves navigating complex employee relations issues and implementing proactive solutions to enhance employee satisfaction and productivity. The scope covers the US and Puerto Rico, with potential support for investigations across North America. Responsibilities include developing and implementing employee relations policies, addressing colleague concerns, conducting investigations into workplace issues, collaborating with HR and Legal on policy application and consistency, providing guidance to managers, analyzing data to identify trends, staying informed on labor laws, and facilitating training sessions.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in HR or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of HR experience with employee relations

The  Employee Relations Manager is responsible for fostering a positive workplace environment by addressing employee concerns, managing conflict resolution, and ensuring compliance with company policies and labor laws. This role requires a strategic thinker who can navigate complex employee relations issues and implement proactive solutions to improve employee satisfaction and productivity. The scope of this role is US and Puerto Rico and by exception may support investigations across North America. 

 

Role Responsibilities  

  • Develop and implement employee relations and people policies and procedures in partnership with HR and the business. 

  • Address and resolve colleague speak-ups, concerns in a fair and timely manner. 

  • Conduct investigations into workplace issues, including harassment, discrimination, code of conduct and other policy violations. 

  • Collaborate with HR, Legal and the business to research, benchmark, develop and ensure consistent application of US policies and practices. 

  • Provide guidance and support to US line managers and HR Business Partners on HR policy, process and employee relations. 

  • Partner with Legal, Investigations and HR as necessary to support investigations and Employee Relations cases.  

  • Ensure guidance and standard processes are monitored and maintained to ensure compliance and consistency, while leading and driving standardization and simplification where the opportunity exists 

  • Analyze employee relations data to identify trends and develop strategies for improvement. 

  • Stay informed about US and PR labor laws and regulations to ensure company compliance. 

  • Monitor and inform on strategic policy and process development by taking into consideration internal and external practices 

  • Identify and facilitate training sessions on employee relations topics for line managers, HR Business Partners and employees on policy, employment law, and employee relations matters 

 

Why you? 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 

  • Minimum of 5 years in Human Resources role, with experience managing employee relations matters 

  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations. 

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 

  • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. 

  • Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills. 

  • Demonstrates ability to take initiative, think and work independently, problem-solve, work effectively in teams, and multitask. 

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

  • Proficiency in HRIS and other HR-related software e.g. CaseIQ 

  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of business unit and organization. 

 

Location: This role is based in Warren, NJ

Haleon offers a robust Total Reward package that consists of competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits program.  This includes a generous 401(k) plan, tuition reimbursement and time off programs including 6 months paid parental leave.  On day one, you are eligible for benefits, including our healthcare programs where the company pays for the majority of your medical coverage for you and your family.  We also offer the opportunity to receive a discretionary bonus based on the achievement of key business performance and other incentive/recognition programs as part of the offering.  The salary range for this role is: $106,822  to $146,880  plus a 12% bonus.
