Our primary application, Transportation Management System for Shippers (TM-Shippers), is used to plan, execute, track, and settle billions of dollars of transportation movements every year. Our team of product owners work directly within a development team and serve as the voice of our customers in order to help our developers understand their problems. Better yet, our product owners have the chance to work with those same developers to come up with fun and creative ways to solve those very problems.

In order to ensure our product owner team continues to run like a well-oiled machine, we’re looking for a candidate that can lead this group as they build out those solutions, challenge the status quo to ensure we’re building the right things the right way, and drive process improvement to help them operate efficiently.

Required Skills and experience:

• Total Experience: 12+ years, with a minimum of 3 years in a Lead - Product Owner Lead role.
• Ability to lead a team of passionate and driven Product Owners
• Ability and willingness to identify areas of risk and appropriately raise a flag to the right people
• Ability to identify and implement process improvements that will drive the team toward more efficiency
• Ability to work with the business to break down a problem into its working parts and translate to our developers to solve
• Natural curiosity and desire to learn new things quickly
• Ability to make quick decisions based on factual evidence
• Ability to prioritize multiple items to ensure the most important things are being worked on
• Ability to work as a key member of a team with common goals
• Good communication within a team

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity or experience with transportation management software
• Experience working with software developers to solve problems
• Prior people management experience
