In 2023, our ad creatives reached 80 billion views — and we're not planning to stop there. To take our success to the next level, we're looking for a Playable Ads Technical Lead to head the development of interactive playables for millions of players.
In this role, you will develop game mechanics and special effects, refine the tech stack, launch technical initiatives, and adopt new technologies to accelerate creative production.
Lead the development of Playable Ads for our hits — Fishdom, Gardenscapes, Township
Design, maintain, and evolve the software architecture for Playable Ads, ensuring scalability, resilience, and support
Optimize ad performance across various devices and partner platforms
Analyze and select suitable technologies, frameworks, and tools for the development team
Implement best practices and establish coding standards
Ensure reusability of components and mechanics across developers
Conduct code reviews
Directly write code for critical architecture components
Research the tech stacks used by competitors
Continuously monitor the tech landscape to identify potential innovations for Playable Ads production
5+ years of experience in JavaScript/TypeScript development
Deep understanding of WebGL and experience with 3D engines like Three.js, Unity Playworks, Phaser.js, Babylon.js, Playcanvas, or Cocos
Experience with physics engines: MatterJS, Cannon-ES, or Box2D
Strong knowledge of development principles: DRY, KISS, SOLID
Experience with bundlers: webpack, gulp, rollup, vite
Performance optimization skills for mobile and web games
Marketing expertise: understanding game logic and popular mechanics
Proactive attitude and a passion for growth: always looking to improve processes and adopt new development approaches
Experience with ad platforms: AppLovin, Google Ads, IronSource
Familiarity with analytics tools for tracking creative performance
Strong awareness of ad trends and knowledge of the mobile ad market
Experience creating personal game projects or participating in game jams
