Job Description

As a Trade Marketing Manager at Philips, you will be responsible for building a high-growth business that improves lives in China and advances Philips' digital transformation in Health Technology. Your duties include initiating offline trade marketing strategies, driving retail sell-out and market share growth through collaboration with category marketing managers, and conducting market analysis to identify opportunities. You will also focus on shopper insights, planning and executing channelized retail activation plans, evaluating campaign results for continuous improvement, and supporting new product launches in retail. Additionally, you will manage budgets, allocate and track advertising and promotion/margin, achieve retail operation excellence, and support cross-category marketing activities.

Trade Marketing Manager

Job Description

In this role, you have the opportunity to 

Build a high growth business that will help improve the lives of millions of people in China, while advancing Philips digital transformation journey as a global leader in Health Technology. 

You are responsible for 

  • Initiate offline trade marketing strategy plan and translate into granular action plan. 

  • Drive retail sellout growth and market share growth: work closely with category marketing manager to drive category growth in retail which secure category sellout and market share target. 

  • Market analysis: close monitor the markets dynamic and capture opportunities through the analysis of market, competition and sell out. 

  • Shopper insight understanding shape the consumer decision journey based on deep understanding of consumer insight and shopping behavior. 

  • Plan development and execution: come up with and implement channelized retail activation plan including Portfolio & Merchandising, POSM, Promotion, Activation 

  • Evaluation and learning: campaign result tracking and evaluation which drive consistent improvement 

  • New product launch: work together with category MM to assure the successful new product launch in retail. 

  • Budget Management 

  • maximize the ROI within agreed budget scope 

  • A&P/Margin allocation and tracking 

  • Achieve retail operation excellence. Initiate nationwide activation by product category. 

  • Other cross category marketing activities support on project base 

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience 

  • 7+ years’ experience in marketing activities in a multi-national consumer goods company. 

  • Strong communication skills and presentation capabilities 

  • social marketing content competence. 

  • Ability to interface effectively with other resources 

  • Good English command 

  • Results oriented, Self-motivated and could work under pressure and dynamic circumstance
