HR Manager

By automating routine checks and corrections, our tools speed up production, freeing developers to grow, discover, and create. Our employees are deeply important to us, so to help us support them, we are looking for a dedicated HR Manager to join our international team. You will be responsible for leading the HR local team for our Berlin office and handling a wide range of responsibilities for the ever-expanding JetBrains team. Also, you will closely collaborate with our HR team in Munich. As part of our team, you will:

• Lead the Berlin HR Operations function and manage & lead the HR team (1 HR Specialist)
• Oversee the entire life cycle of employees, including hiring, onboarding, and development. Support the performance evaluation process in accordance with the company's policies.
• Manage the HR administrative work, including preparing employment agreements, updating policies, etc.
• Ensure legal compliance.
• Be responsible for optimizing processes in our internal HR system.
• Provide internal consultation to local employees and colleagues on a broad range of HR topics, including local labor laws, terms of employment, termination, compensation, benefits, visa matters, etc.
• Be responsible for the final input for payroll. Cooperate with external audit agencies by providing the employee information required for timely and accurate processing.
• Develop, implement, and monitor local HR strategies, systems, procedures, policies, benefits, and initiatives in line with our global HR strategy.
• Take part in the organization of internal events (celebrations, onboarding events, etc.).
• Foster a positive working environment.
• Participate in HR activities and initiatives designated by the company.

We’d love to have you on our team if you have:

• 3-5 years of experience as an HR Generalist / HR Manager within an international company in Germany.
• Good communication skills and are a team player.
• Creativity in handling HR responsibilities.
• Experience with local HR processes.
• Excellent knowledge of labor law.
• Excellent skills in standard MS Office tools, advanced knowledge of Excel, and experience with HRM systems.
• An open-minded and flexible attitude.
• Experience in the HR department of an IT company.
• Fluent English and German, both written and spoken.
