The Manager - Revenue Assurance will oversee the accounts receivable function, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of invoicing, processing and monitoring incoming payments, securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts. This role is crucial for maintaining the company’s financial health and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts Receivable Management:Oversee and manage the accounts receivable team to ensure efficient processing of invoices and timely collection/accounting of payments.Develop and implement AR policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient operations.Monitor AR aging reports and take appropriate action to resolve outstanding balances.Ensure all customer accounts are reconciled periodically
- Invoicing and Collections:Ensure accurate and timely invoicing to customers.Implement effective collection strategies to minimize overdue accounts and bad debts.Communicate with customers regarding outstanding balances and handle disputes or discrepancies.Coordinate with sales and customer service departments to resolve billing issues.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis:Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status, including aging analysis, DSO (Days Sales Outstanding), and collection effectiveness.Provide detailed analysis and commentary on AR performance to senior management.Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.File wise profitability reporting, work closely with other finance & business finance function to identify cost and ensure tracking with revenue to ensure matching concept
- Process Improvement:Identify areas for improvement in the AR process and implement changes to increase efficiency and accuracy.Stay updated with industry best practices and integrate them into the AR processes.Leverage technology and automation to streamline AR operations.
- Team Leadership:Lead, mentor, and develop the AR team to enhance their performance and professional growth.Set performance goals, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback.Foster a collaborative and positive working environment.
- Compliance and Audit:Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.Understanding & astute implementation of relevant tax laws in IDT (GST), DT (TDS, TCS) and other withholding taxes as may be applicablePrepare for and manage internal and external audits of the AR function.Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit purposes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA
- Proven experience (5+ years) in accounts receivable or a similar role, with at least 2 years in a managerial position.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements.
