The opportunity
At Unity Technologies, we power the world’s most innovative games and real-time 3D experiences. Our P&T Business Operations team plays a critical role in driving strategic initiatives, optimizing cross-functional processes, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. We are seeking a highly analytical and proactive Senior Business Operations Manager to partner with senior leaders, tackle complex business challenges, and scale our operations.

What you'll be doing

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including FP&A, Product Management, Product Services, Product Operations, Revenue, and M&A—to plan and execute high-impact business initiatives (e.g., technology migrations, new business-model development).
  • Partner with senior leaders to identify opportunities, define project scope, and ensure alignment on goals, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Conduct quantitative analyses (financial modeling, forecasting, scenario analysis) to inform key business decisions.
  • Proactively monitor business-critical metrics, identify anomalies or inefficiencies, and recommend corrective actions to drive performance.
  • Define, document, and continuously improve scalable processes that span multiple functions—ensuring consistency, transparency, and efficiency.
  • Lead process-mapping exercises, develop standard operating procedures, and roll out best practices to drive operational excellence.
  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and ad hoc reports (using Looker and BigQuery) to track KPIs, highlight trends, and support executive-level reporting.
  • Ensure data integrity by implementing validation checks and collaborating with data engineering teams to reconcile discrepancies.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, translating complex analyses into clear, actionable recommendations for finance, product, marketing, and sales stakeholders.
  • Drive projects end-to-end—facilitating meetings, managing timelines, supporting organizational planning and rhythm of business, and “rolling up your sleeves” to ensure tasks are completed on time and with high quality.

What we're looking for

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
  • Hands-on experience writing SQL queries, working with BigQuery datasets, and creating interactive visualizations in Looker.
  • Demonstrated ability to take a quantitative approach to problem-solving—balancing speed with accuracy to avoid “analysis paralysis.”
  • Proven track record of designing and driving scalable operational processes across multiple functions and supporting strategic/operational planning, workforce planning, performance management, and organizational governance.
  • Zealous ownership mentality: willing to dig into details, identify root causes, and implement solutions quickly.
  • Comfortable wearing multiple hats (finance, product, marketing, sales) and communicating effectively with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Excellent project management skills—managing priorities, timelines, and deliverables in a dynamic environment.
  • 5+ years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, FinOps, FP&A, or a related field.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to distill complex analyses into concise presentations or executive summaries.

You might also have

  • Hands-on experience in mobile in-app advertising or ad tech.
  • Previous business operations role at a high-growth startup, scaling processes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with budgeting and forecasting tools beyond Excel
  • Experience working closely with engineering or data teams to automate and streamline workflows.
