The Business Development Manager - Datasets will focus on engaging with potential customers for Audio Datasets for Speech Technology. Responsibilities include identifying and qualifying prospects interested in off-the-shelf or custom audio data, attending client meetings and trade shows, building relationships with key decision-makers, creating and delivering presentations, managing the full sales cycle, collaborating with the delivery team to create effective solutions, maintaining CRM data, conducting market analysis, and representing Side at industry conferences. This role requires a dynamic and highly motivated individual to close new business and manage client relationships.
Must have:
  • Identify and qualify prospective customers for audio datasets.
  • Attend client meetings, presentations, and trade shows.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Create and present compelling proposals to potential partners.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle from prospecting to closing.

Purpose of the job

Side is seeking a Business Development Manager - Datasets to engage with prospects and customers for our Audio Datasets for Speech Technology business, helping them understand the value of Side Datasets and moving them forward in the sales process. This role requires a dynamic and highly motivated individual, who will close new business, liaise with decision makers, negotiate service contracts and manage client relationships.

Duties and key responsibilities

  •  Identify prospective customers, engage them, and qualify them. Ideal customers would be interested in either our off-the-shelf data or custom high quality audio collection for speech application.
  •  Attending client meetings, presentations, trade shows, etc.
  •  Relationship Building & Negotiation: Initiate and cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers at target partner organizations.
  •  Create and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential partners, showcasing Side’s value proposition.
  •  Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
  •  Work collaboratively with the delivery team to create effective solutions that align with client requirements.
  •  Accurately enter, update, and maintain daily activity and prospect information in our CRM
  •  Conduct thorough market analysis to understand industry trends, competitor activities, and recommend new strategies.
  •  Represent Side at industry conferences and events to network with potential partners and stay abreast of market developments.
