As a Retail (DTC) Marketing Director, you will develop and execute comprehensive direct-to-consumer (DTC) marketing strategies across multiple channels. You will build and manage annual marketing plans and budgets, own the marketing calendar for timely campaign execution, and align customer segmentation with acquisition, retention, and reactivation strategies. You will also lead content planning for print and digital catalogs, email campaigns, and marketing assets, manage advertising initiatives, and support loyalty programs. Additionally, you will collaborate with retail teams, provide creative direction, analyze campaign performance, and establish SOPs and KPIs to optimize marketing operations. You will also coordinate campaign deliverables and manage internal staff and external vendors.

We’re hiring a Retail (DTC) Marketing Director for a fully remote, full-time direct hire opportunity with a leading consumer brand. This role offers a competitive salary of $115,000–$125,000 and is open to candidates residing in select U.S. states (listed below).

Are you a strategic marketing leader with a passion for driving growth across digital and traditional channels? In this role, you’ll lead the full-funnel direct-to-consumer (DTC) marketing strategy—developing campaigns that acquire, retain, and reactivate customers through print + digital catalogs, email, and digital media. You'll work cross-functionally with creative, eCommerce, and retail teams to deliver engaging campaigns that connect with customers and elevate brand performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive DTC marketing strategies across multiple channels

  • Build and manage annual marketing plans and budgets in collaboration with leadership

  • Own and maintain the marketing calendar to ensure timely execution of seasonal campaigns

  • Align customer segmentation with acquisition, retention, and reactivation strategies

  • Lead content planning and oversee the production of print and digital catalogs, email campaigns, and marketing assets

  • Manage direct mail, email, and digital advertising initiatives

  • Support loyalty and rewards program performance in coordination with eCommerce teams

  • Collaborate with retail teams to ensure consistent brand messaging across all touchpoints

  • Provide creative direction, contribute to copywriting, and guide concept development

  • Analyze and report on campaign performance and strategic outcomes

  • Establish SOPs and KPIs to optimize marketing operations

  • Use project management tools to coordinate and track campaign deliverables

  • Hire, lead, and manage internal staff and external vendors as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 8+ years of DTC or direct response marketing experience within consumer products

  • 8+ years of experience managing teams, vendors, and third-party partners

  • Proven ability to execute full-funnel marketing campaigns across digital and traditional media

  • Experience with print catalog marketing is essential

  • Strong project management and multitasking skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication; skilled in copywriting

  • Creative thinker with a data-driven approach to decision-making

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables a plus)

  • Familiarity with social media, CRM platforms, and project management tools (Wrike, Monday.com)

  • Resume must include budget sizes, ROI, performance metrics, and growth examples

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, standard CST business hours

  • Location: Remote (must reside in one of the following states to be considered):

  • Compensation: $115,000–$125,000 annually
