Saxo Bank Securities, Japan Operations team is responsible to either directly provide operation support to Saxo Bank Japan Clients or govern the global operation teams based out of India on all Back Office Operations supporting critical functions like Payments, Fund Segregation, Settlements, Corporate Actions, Reconciliation, Stock Transfer, Regulatory & Tax Reporting activities.
About the job
As an Operations Officer, you will be one of the key members of the Saxo Bank Securities, Japan – Core Operations and Product Governance team, and responsible for handling of the Payment Processing covering deposit, withdrawals as well as reconciliation. In addition, this role will also require the operations officer to directly support the fund segregation (collateral with the Trust Banks) process which requires directly liaising with the Trust Banks.
Payment processing involves handling of incoming deposits as Quick deposits/Instant funding as well as direct bank transfer made by the clients to their trading accounts. You will be also handling the fund transfer between Saxo Bank Securities Ltd. as Saxo Bank A/S.
This position provides an option to learn, grow and perform within one of the World’s leading online broker-banks. We are seeking a dynamic and sharp mind to support and drive the processes that cover daily, monthly, and annual fund segregation and payment processing requirements.
This role strictly demands regulatory compliance at all times and ensuring timely and accurate segregation of funds been held at the Trust Banks. You will be holding all necessary skills and certifications such as JSDA Sales Representative Class 1 and 2 that allows you to perform Payments and Fund Segregation activities.
You will be closely working with Head of Core Operations and Product Governance to ensure that regulatory compliance from fund segregation and payment processing perspective, along with supporting any regulatory, internal or accounting audits.
As a local reporting matrix in the Tokyo office, you will be part of Japan Core Operations and Product Governance department under the COO organization and will be reporting to Head of Core Operations and Product Governance, Japan.
Your profile

You have minimum 4-5 years work experience preferably from the financial industry, online brokerage firms or consultancy firm in Japan – preferably with competences within Operations department and specifically handling of Payments Processing as well as Fund Segregation.
As an Operations officer and one of the key members of Core Operations team, be directly responsible following key responsibilities:
Fund Segregation: Accurate maintenance and reporting of Trust Bank Collaterals on day to day basis , Addition of funds to the Trust Bank in the event of a shortage, Handling of renewal and cancellation Trust Bank contracts
Payment Processing: Preparation Withdrawals data (zenegin) file, coordination with India Payment Processing team
Payment Processing: Handling of Withdrawal rejections/reversal in case name mismatches or exceptions
Payment Processing: Full check of quick deposit reconciliation and completion of missing data
Payment Processing: Handling of Direct Bank Transfers (Regular Deposits)
Payment Processing: Create a bank transfer requests
Payment Processing: Handling fax returns of inaccurate bank data Email notifications to customers, re-engagements, and account returns
Payment Processing: Confirmation of compliance with deposit management regulations, account balance check, in-house transfer, cover destination balance check, overseas destining, destination work
Be responsible for fund transfer between Saxo Bank Securities Ltd. and Saxo Bank A/S, and as and when required liaise with Finance and accounting in the Japan office for any intra-company fund transfer activities
Renewal of time deposits semi-annually
Closely work with the Head of Core Operations and support annual internal as well as external audits concerning Trust Bank Fund Segregation, Payment Processing
Continuously opt for STP based approach for all the daily, monthly, annual processes concerning payment processing and Fund segregation
Qualification
A Bachelor’s degree is highly desired (Law, Commerce, Engg.)
JSDA Sales Representative Level 1, Level 2 certified
JSDA internal controls certifications
