Job Details

Make is the leading visual platform for anyone to design, build, and automate anything—from tasks and workflows to apps and systems—without the need for coding skills. We are headquartered in the flourishing tech hub of Prague, Czech Republic, and our teams are spread across the USA, UK, Germany, France, Canada, India and Chile, among other locations.

Make is scaling its global community footprint, and we’re looking for a Community Events Manager to lead our in-person event strategy and execution in specific regions. You’ll be responsible for creating scalable, user-driven experiences that deepen engagement with Make, strengthen our user ecosystem, and amplify the voices of our most passionate Makers.

This is a highly cross-functional role, combining event logistics, community activation, partner management, and regional insights.

What you’ll do:

Responsibilities:

  • Own planning and execution of all community-focused events including community-led meetups and regional workshops and hackathons
  • Recruit, train, and support local event organizers and community ambassadors, giving them the tools and confidence to host events independently.
  • Develop toolkits and scalable formats for city-based chapters (event templates, swag packs, speaker decks, etc.).
  • Manage vendors, venues, budget, logistics, and promotion with excellence and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and partnerships teams to amplify events and align with business objectives (e.g., product launches or regional GTM goals).
  • Track and report on key event KPIs: attendance, satisfaction, regional reach, engagement lift, etc.
  • Ensure a consistent brand experience, while allowing room for local creativity and culture.
  • Occasionally travel to anchor events or to support high-impact organizers.
  • Be the face of Make in local markets—sometimes hosting events yourself and inspiring others to do the same.
