Job Summary:
The Process Design Engineer is responsible for ownership of process design during the bid and execution phases. Duties include aiding the other engineers by understanding technical specifications, determining appropriate equipment selection, performing process design calculations, overseeing and updating design standards for the R3 group, as well as coordinating with other product group’s design engineers. In addition to normal communication via phone and email, the position will intermittently be required to attend face to face meetings, site visits, and provide technical presentations for customers.

The Rental and Rapid Response (R3) Group specializes in delivering quality OEM equipment packages to both domestic and international customers in shortened/truncated lead times. Project portfolios can include various complex systems that must be delivered in critical windows to keep customers operational. The equipment can vary and be made up of a subset of equipment from the other major product lines within Zeeco. Order complexity and delivery schedule varies, as well as day to day operations during the design phase. The position will interact closely with the sales team and execution group during quoting, order award and project lifecycle. Once initiated, the design engineer will be the technical specialist from bid inquiry to the project being turned over to the execution team. Once a job is won, the design engineer will coordinate with applications (AE) and project engineering (PE) teams to ensure the equipment is designed to meet the project process requirements.

Our customers rely on proactive efforts and communication as they are most often dealing with equipment requirements that are a critical path with direct impact to their revenue stream.
