Cambium is a growth-stage startup focused on transforming salvaged lumber into "Carbon Smart Wood™." This role of Senior Sales Manager is an opportunity to lead outreach efforts to architects, design-builders, contractors, and OEMs. The responsibilities include generating product and brand awareness through presentations, nurturing relationships, and driving specifications and sales. You will work closely with the sales team to execute the sales strategy and provide input for go-to-market strategies. The position requires spearheading relationship development in the Minneapolis–St. Paul, Chicago, and surrounding areas, conducting CEU sessions, and managing pipeline activity in HubSpot CRM. You will also represent the company at trade shows and industry events.
Must have:
  • 7+ years sales/business development experience in AEC/building materials.
  • Strong presentation skills for design professionals and contractors.
  • Track record of relationship-based sales.
  • Familiarity with sustainable materials.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (HubSpot preferred).
  • Based in Duluth, MN, or Chicago, IL.
  • Ability to travel regionally (~25–50%).

About the Role

With an incredible product and an outstanding team behind you, this is an amazing opportunity for an ambitious and energetic sales leader to have a huge impact quickly. As Senior Sales Manager, you’ll lead outreach efforts with architects, design-builders, contractors and OEM’s to grow awareness and usage of our premium, sustainable materials. You’ll generate product and brand awareness in the region via CEUs, lunch and learns, and product overviews—both in person and virtually—while nurturing relationships and driving specification and sales. You’ll work closely with the sales team to execute our sales strategy and bring product education directly to the design and construction community. You’ll also be critical to decision making input and shaping our go-to-market strategy for high growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Spearhead the development and manage relationships with architecture and design firms, contractors, and developers in Minneapolis–St. Paul, Chicago, and surrounding areas.

  • Present CEU-accredited sessions, host lunch and learns, and deliver impactful product presentations tailored to the audience.

  • Build, grow, and track all pipeline activity and client engagement through HubSpot CRM.

  • Drive project opportunities and coordinate internally to support with samples, pricing, and follow-up.

  • Represent Intectural at regional trade shows, industry events, and client meetings.

  • Play a large role in shaping our go-to-market strategy with market insights and feedback

  • Pursue and establish annuity-based sales opportunities with OEMs and fabricators that integrate Intectural’s materials into recurring product lines or manufacturing workflows.

Your Skillsets and Capabilities Include

  • 7+ years of sales or business development experience in the AEC or building materials industry.

  • Strong presentation skills and confidence speaking to design professionals and contractors.

  • A track record of relationship-based sales and an understanding of the project development process.

  • Familiarity with sustainable materials and a passion for beautiful, high-performance products.

  • Proficiency with CRM systems (HubSpot preferred) and pipeline management.

  • Based in Duluth, MN, or Chicago, IL with the ability to travel regionally (~25–50%).
