SchoolAI is seeking a Senior Mid-Market Account Executive to drive sales growth in the K12 education sector. This role focuses on mid-market districts (9 or fewer schools), building relationships with decision-makers, and guiding them through the sales process. You will introduce cutting-edge AI technology to solve educational challenges and improve learning outcomes for students. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of sales experience, preferably in EdTech or SaaS, a proven track record of exceeding quotas, mid-market sales expertise, a customer-centric mindset, K12 industry knowledge, and comfort in a fast-paced startup environment.

About the Role:
As a Senior Mid-Market Account Executive, you’ll own the exciting challenge of growing our presence in the K12 education space. You’ll focus on mid-market opportunities (districts with 9 or less schools), build strong relationships with decision-makers, and guide them through the sales journey.

In this role, you’re not just selling a product—you are introducing new technology and showing how ongoing problems and challenges can finally be solved through the advent of K12-specific AI technology, unlocking the potential of every educator and impacting every student. You’ll be supported by a collaborative team and an experienced team of leaders committed to your success.

In this role,  you will…

  • Build & Own Your Pipeline: Proactively identify, engage, and nurture prospects through outbound and inbound strategies, ensuring a healthy and predictable pipeline of opportunities.
  • Run Discovery Calls: Conduct in-depth discovery sessions to understand the unique needs, challenges, and goals of school districts and other education networks.
  • Deliver Compelling Demos: Present and demonstrate SchoolAI’s solutions in a way that clearly articulates value, aligns with customer needs, and excites stakeholders.
  • Guide Stakeholders: Navigate complex buying processes, working closely with superintendents, curriculum directors, technology leaders, and other decision-makers to drive consensus and secure buy-in.
  • Build Relationships: Develop long-term, trust-based relationships with mid-market customers, positioning yourself as a reliable resource and partner who truly cares about their success.
  • Negotiate & Close Deals: Collaborate with prospects to craft mutually beneficial agreements that meet their needs while achieving revenue goals.
  • Collaborate with Internal Teams: Share feedback with product and marketing teams to refine offerings, improve messaging, and ensure SchoolAI continues to meet the evolving needs of K12 customers.
  • Contribute to Team Success: Actively participate in team meetings, share best practices, and help foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Master CRM Management: Keep your CRM (HubSpot) updated with accurate information about pipeline activities, forecasts, and next steps to ensure clear communication and accountability.
  • Own the Territory: Develop and execute a territory plan to ensure maximum coverage and optimal resource allocation for achieving your goals.
  • Attend Industry Events: Represent SchoolAI at conferences and trade shows to build brand awareness and expand your network of potential customers.
  • Upsell & Cross-Sell: Identify opportunities to expand relationships with existing customers by introducing additional products or services that align with their goals.
  • Stay Informed: Stay up-to-date on K12 trends, funding opportunities, and competitive offerings in your territory to position SchoolAI as a prestigious innovator and thought leader in the space.
  • Meet & Exceed Targets: Consistently hit or exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and engagement.
  • Be a Champion for Education: Advocate for SchoolAI’s mission and solutions, ensuring that every interaction with customers is aligned with our vision to improve education.

You might be what we’re looking for if…

  • You Have Sales Experience: 4+ years of successful experience in sales, preferably in EdTech, SaaS, or another high-growth, solutions-driven environment. Experience in the K12 education space is a strong plus.
  • You Can Crush Quota: A proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas, with a history of managing a sales cycle from prospecting through close.
  • You Have Mid-Market Expertise: Experience selling to mid-market accounts, particularly managing long sales cycles with multiple stakeholders and navigating complex decision-making processes.
  • You Have A Customer-Centric Mindset: Demonstrated ability to deeply understand customer pain points and tailor solutions that meet their unique needs and priorities.
  • You Possess K12 Education Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with K12 education challenges, trends, and funding structures or the ability to learn quickly and speak credibly with education leaders.
  • You Are Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with CRM tools like HubSpot or Salesforce, along with proficiency in using video conferencing and other sales enablement tools.  Experience with AI technology is, well, a HUGE plus!
  • You Are Comfortable with A Fast-Paced Growth Environment: Prior experience working in a fast-growing startup or dynamic environment, where adaptability, initiative, and a growth mindset are critical.
  • You Are A Collaborative Team Player: Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with product, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure the best outcomes for customers and the business.
